The story behind the August earcuffs is the island of Capri. Roman emperors used to holiday in Capri and among them Caesar Augustus - also known as Octavian - is an iconic figure on the island: a famous statue of him stands on the road between Capri and Anacapri, and one of the oldest hotels on the island is called the Caesar Augustus. The three original colours of the August earcuffs are a nod to this mythical island, and to the Mediterranean in general, where really all we need are these three colours: gold, silver, and a stunningly bright blue.

The August earcuffs consist of three earcuffs for unpierced ears that can be worn together or separately. They are made of brass dipped in gold, silver, and silver with a coloured varnish.
